Pete's Place in the Student Center: the Challenge has been met!

Dr. D.L. "Pete" Warren, one of the most beloved members of the Lynchburg College community and the city of Lynchburg, died March 22, 2013 at age 84. His memorial service was held on Saturday, March 30 at Snidow Chapel on the Lynchburg College campus.

Recently, two Lynchburg College families established a $125,000 challenge grant in honor of D. L. “Pete” Warren to raise funds for the Lynchburg College Student Center (read Lynchburg News & Advance article).  Becky and Rick DuFour and Rosel and Elliot Schewel offered a $125,000 challenge to raise funds to name all, or part of,  the Club & Organization Room in the Student Center after Pete Warren, and to call it "Pete's Place.”  Because Pete loved people, especially students, and devoted his life to serving the needs of others, it is only fitting that the expanded Lynchburg College Student Center has a room named for Pete.

Thank you to the donors who made Pete's Place a reality!
