Snidow Chapel Organ Restoration

Snidow ChapelApproaching its 50th Anniversary in 2016, Snidow Chapel is a place for formal worship on campus - a place where the campus community gathers for special worship services and musical performances throughout the year. The chapel was built in 1966 and is named in honor of Lynchburg College benefactors Clifton L. Snidow Sr., member of the College Board of Trustees (1906-28), and his wife, Sallie E. Snidow.

To celebrate this important milestone, Lynchburg College has embarked on an initiative to raise funds for significant repairs needed for the Reuter Pipe Organ in Snidow Chapel.

We are grateful to Larry R. Arrington ‘71 and Betty Hawkins Arrington ‘64 for a challenge gift of $100,000 to encourage others to support this important initiative.  Our goal is $225,000.  Snidow Chapel is the spiritual center of the campus and the location of worship services and musical performances throughout the year. Along with Hopwood Hall, it is represented on the College seal, signifying the College's commitment to faith and reason.
